
Because of easy to use and dependable central waste oil collection stations, farmers from around the Sonoma Valley in California are now able to get rid of used motor oil drained from farm equipment in an evironmentally responsible manner.
The collection stations feature above ground containment tanks with an Edson Electric Diaphragm Pump mounted on top. A reinforced flexible hose and suction dipstick are attached to the inlet to the pump. This set up allow the farmers to bring their used oil in any size containers and transfer it into the steel containment tank using the powerful suction lift of the Edson 2" Diaphragm Pump. The pumps large openings and check valve make short work of contaminated oils even when suspended solids get into the mix. A typical 55 gallon drum is emptied in 3 minutes or less.
Customers for these product include any location that support farm, marine and construction equipment maintenance sites. This would include but not be limited to farm co-ops, harbor operation, remote construction sites and municipal waste oil collection sites.
